Motueka Slot Car Club

The Motueka Slot Car Club has two tracks –  a 4.8 x 1.7 metre Carrera track specifically for young people, and a 6.0 x 5.0 metre four lane wooden track (to be extended) for youth and adults. The wooden track is ex Garden City Slot Car. The club is seeking to gain a membership of at least 15 young people and 10 adults on a regular basis.

The Carrera track was showcased in the Motueka library recently and attracted 150 young people and over 30 adults. On the last morning of the track being open, 61 young people had a go at slot car racing. The library is booked again at the end of August where it’s intended to have both tracks set up.
